Saturday, March 22,
West Bromwich Albion
Salut!
You may all have heard that I turned down the chance this
week to join West Bromwich Albion for the rest of the season
and help their campaign to earn promotion to the Premiership.
I appreciated the offer, but I feel I would rather stay here
at Goodison Park and help Everton secure their own place in
the top flight. I have found a flat on Merseyside and am settling
down here. If I can keep playing and get back to full match
fitness I know I have a lot to offer still.
I am not involved in this weekend's six-pointer at Derby against
my former boss John Gregory, who swapped Villa Park for Pride
Park and a relegation battle.
It was good to see that Manchester United and Liverpool avoided
each other in the Champions League draw. They are now scheduled
to meet in the semi-finals of the competition if they win
their respective ties, and if that happens it will guarantee
that England has a representative in this season's final at
Hampden Park.
In closing, thanks again to all the fans who have supported
me, it is great to know so many of you are on my side!
A bientôt,
David Ginola.
