Friday, May 17, Forward
to the future
Salut!
Another end to a season! Everton played Arsenal at Highbury,
and although the Gunners had already secured their double,
like champions, they played to win. But Everton gave a good
challenge in an entertaining match that ended 4-3 to Arsenal.
I was very pleased for Arsenal that they won the League, and
as I'm sure you can imagine, the atmosphere was euphoric.
The fans were celebrating, the players were celebrating, and
there was a carnival ambience.
I must say I was a bit disappointed not to have played a bit
longer in my last game for Everton, but it's just one of those
things. I said my goodbyes and good lucks to everyone after
the game, and now I am just looking forward to the future.
My father was at the game, and on Sunday we drove to Sainte
Maxime. I normally fly, but I was taking some fragile items
to my parents' home. We stopped and ate at Bernard Loiseau
Restaurant, which has great food.
It's been a nice relaxing week in Sainte Maxime, and we've
been mainly looking after the children. The skies are blue
and the temperature is about 25º. I am now on my way
over to Cannes for the Film Festival as I am filming 'Tout
le Monde à Cannes' for French TV.
I hear the weather is great in England too! Enjoy it, and
have a good weekend.
A bientôt,
David Ginola.
