Wednesday, September 3, Temptation

Salut!

I know you are all wondering if I am going to play football again, so let me assure you that I very much want to and I can reveal that I am considering a very tempting offer. Nice, the club where I started my career in 1983, want me to see out my playing days there.

After some turmoil off the field I believe it is a club very much in the ascendancy, and the prospect of going "home" is very appealing.
I miss my football, and if Nice can manage to bridge the small gap which currently exists and find the right deal for me, then it will be hard for me to say no.

I have been inundated with offers to move into a career in television or film, and these too are tempting. But I still wish to pursue my football, and shall only move on and hang up my professional boots if all else fails. So watch this space!

I am keeping an eye on events in the Premiership and it has been an exciting start.

I am not surprised to see Arsenal making the early running, they will take some beating to be de-throned as Champions, but I am also glad to see my old club Spurs starting well.

English football has just had a transfer window imposed for the first time, so it will be interesting to see how managers cope with the squads they have until it re-opens - at least the speculation will temporarily cease.

As always, it will be a survival of the fittest - or probably the richest! But if the opening fortnight is anything to go by, we are in for an exciting title race! .

A bientôt,

David Ginola.
