Monday, May 19, Learning
Salut!
I was back at RADA last week. I am really finding it a voyage
of self-discovery, because I am someone who naturally tends
to keep a lot of things inside, and learning to convey meaning
not just in words, but in actions, is actually quite liberating.
When I say actions, I don't mean physically
but more in terms of expression. And it's not as easy as one
might think. Towards the end of the week I was up on stage
and gave my first performance - my adrenalin was pumping,
but once I got into it, I really enjoyed myself!
On Wednesday I did a Power Boat Offshore test
in Southampton with the world champion Steve Curtis. I am
looking at possibly competing with him in the future, which
would be very exciting!
I was supposed to be back to class today, but
I found out over the weekend that my first football coach
has passed away and it is his funeral today. It is very sad
news for me, as he was a hugely inspirational person in my
career.
I'm back at class tomorrow, and then heading
over to Belfast in the afternoon for the John Daly show. On
Wednesday I will be attending a RADA lunch at the Savoy which
Lord Attenborough has invited me to.
For those of you who have emailed asking about
my Sainte-Maxime Beach Soccer tournament, this year it will
be from Friday 4th July until Sunday 6th July.
Have a good week!
A bientôt
David Ginola
